I am new to this site, this is my first post.....and I have been out of the loop in target archery for about 10-12 years now. I am looking for a New sight and scope combo, and I have done some surfing to find many different options. I was always a Chek-it fan but have been having trouble with the one I own. My wife is shooting with a Sure loc and it looks to be very nice. Any opinions on this? Larry

Welcome to the site. You'll get a lot of opinions on this one. I own 3 Copper John ANTS Evo2 sights. They are extremely well built and their customer service is outstanding.

My 3D set up has a small sized Viper scope with a 3X lens. The fiber up pin is very bright and it isn't too expensive.

My indoor set up has a small scope with a true spot lens.

Best bet is to get your hands on them and play around with them and see what you like or dislike first hand....:welcome:

Sure-Loc has been my sight of choice for 11 years now, but if I was looking for a replacement i would have to give a carbon Shibuya a good hard look. Hey Bullfiddle, on that Sword sight, how fine is the spacing on the vertical adjustment compared to a Sure-Loc? That threaded rod looks like a pretty aggressive pitch........

it is aggressive but the sight does not click if that makes any sense. It's kinda like ya just put it where you want it and that's it. so there really is no spacing I guess. you can move the site a half a millimeter if ya wanted to. I would guess you would call it a true micro adjust...Hope that helps wish I could explain it better.

There is on the windage rod for the scope but not on the Vertical. But I will tell ya this the thing is put together tight enough I don't think ya need it. I have shot mine some but not alot and it hasn't moved.

I think you get what you pay for these days.
Cheap and you get cheap and vice versa.

I'm a Copper John Evo guy with Specialty Archery Super D scope:wave:

You can save some money on a sure loc if you can find a Sure Loc Lite, the same thing as the supreme I think. All the ones I have are Lites and from what I have seen they are the same thing.

:welcome: to the forum. Lots of great sights out there. Just do a little shopping around and see what you like. I shoot an older Toxonics. It still works great so I say why change.:noidea:

Post up and enjoy the site with us.:peace:

Sure Loc is a very popular sight, you can get parts for the easily. Check ebay, I just got a nice challenger sight with an Apex scope for $150.

I have been using the Sure-Loc as well with the black eagle scope and after hearing my hubby whine a ton about not liking the pin sight he was using I gave him my Sure-loc and bought the Shibuya Ultima Carbon and I'm very happy with it. The only thing I don't like is the 3rd axis bit but I have it pretty straight so not seeing any real problems with that. I like the very tight fit of the polycarbonite part that connects to the sight. Very close tolerances as far as I can tell.

Yeah, I was able to check a Shibuya out up close today, this is definately my next sight. The carbon extension is way stiffer than the Sure-Loc and the whole unit is much lighter too. The quality is awesome and the adjustments are WAAYYY precise. Only downside I can see is that you need a whole other head unit ($100.00) to swap scopes. Still looks like the best sight out there right now.

I use the Sword Titan (sight and scope combo package for less than $300) from www.arrowsandtargets.com (http://www.arrowsandtargets.com) . Great sight and very clear.
