Yaaaahhhhh!

I shot a Black Bear in Pa in 97. 677lbs with a massive head.
Took it to a professional game Butcher in the area. His skinner called and asked me if he could "Have the Pelt". I told him to go fly a kite.
When I got the head and pelt to the Taxidermist, a few days later I was told the skull was cut off deeply.
It still scores 20 7/8, cut off in front of the Ear Canals.
Three quarters of the cranial vault is cut of with a hacksaw, leaving only a small part of where the brain was.

The rug, tanned and trimmed with a magnificent head, is about 7 1/2 feet.

He apoligized for ruining the most spectacular kill ever to come into his shop. He continued to use the same guy to skin for him.
Comparisons of measurements indicate the skull would score right about 25.

The Butcher is dead now.

So much for my Boone and Crockett Top of the list harvest.
I'm crying just telling this story again. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

Yaaaaahhh!
