Sportsman 08-26-2004, 02:30 PM Man you have to provide some ligitimacy with that photo ! That can't be real. Where did you get the photo. bow-regard 08-26-2004, 02:35 PM It is for real. It is some sort of english or european catfish, I don't remember which. Supposedly they can grow to hundreds of pounds. bow-regard 08-26-2004, 02:41 PM More info found... http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_2004_catfish.htm Ownership of the above photo has been claimed by angler Lucas van der Geest, who reports catching the 187-pound wels catfish near Po, Italy in 2003. But it is a real catfish just not from the US. Starky161 01-08-2005, 03:17 AM That's an awsome fish. I've heard there are catfish like that in deep water lakes like Powel near the dam. Wheely 12-01-2007, 06:49 PM WARNING: OLD POST!! How would you like to pull this one outta the water :scared: Ronhop 12-01-2007, 08:15 PM WARNING: OLD POST!! How would you like to pull this one outta the water :scared: I caught a 52" clear muskie (non hybrid) in 1997. Wieghed a bit over 32 pounds. Not as fat, by any means, at that cat but the teeth were intimidating. Not anymore though since it's mounted on a piece of stained oak hanging on the wall of a good friend's bar and restaurant way up North from here.
