dodgensince74 01-18-2008, 07:12 AM then again maybe not:noidea: :biggrin1:
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 08:23 AM Maybe you should look into getting one of those free credit reports. Would be a shame if someone started an account in your name and was buying the equipment you wanted for themselves on your dime.
 :censored:  :censored:
When I was a prosecution paralegal in the army we discovered a soldier had credit cards in the names of all of the Brigade's 1st Sergeants and Sergeants Major names. About 20 total. Found out because the mail person put the a bill in a wrong mail box and they tracked the address on it to him. They removed him from the unit simply so he wouldn't be mistreated before his trial.

Wow! They do have more then one useless Paralegal in the army!?!?! :noidea:
My buddy is a Paralegal out of an army base just north of Philly (Norristown?). He lives on Fort Dix... been a paralegal for about 4 - 5 years now I'd guess.
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 08:44 AM No, they were all pretty much useless. Especially those lazy bums at Ft. Dix.
:censored: :censored: :censored:
The only way we could be lazier is if we worked in the IT department.

Of course we could have been considered DEAD compared to guys like you.
The things that rotate in your avatar, are they your credentials.
Air Assault
Air Borne
Pathfinder
CIB
Ranger
You made the most of your time I see.
guess I better stop Highjacking now though. :tape: :tape: :tape: :tape:

Well, good thing pride and bragging rights count for a lot. Nice job man.

I wouldn't consider them credentials either. A credential must have some value or worth to potential employers or organizations.
No one really cares that I can tie 14 different knots at a blistering speed, or sling load a hummer under a Chinook, or control multiple aircraft around a tactical landing sight, or break contact using the Australian peel, or that I have 100 jumps, or that I can ride a motorcycle over rough terrain using IR lighting and night vision.
I would classify them more like accomplishments........
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 11:25 AM Or one cool freakin job. My favorite part is still the HUMVEE driving course/obsticle course.
Oh, and the M209 range.

Why would you jump out of a perfectly good airplane? If you would have just waited long enough it would land and you can just walk right out of the door and down the steps :noidea:
Isn't the Australian Peel similar to the "Twist" that you old timers used to do?

Lawyers and big guns that explode... there is something VERY wrong with that image

Dude. I wasn't flying United.....
Most of the C-130s I exited were comissioned during the Vietnam war. Hardly "perfectly good aircraft". Usually the AC leaked and half the time they smelled like jet fuel. I couldn't wait to get out the door......:noidea:

That actually sounds like most United planes I've flown on... except for that "half the time" part.

I second that... same with US Air!

The worst are the damn prop planes! Especially jumping from LVI to Philly or DC... its like an hour flight and the whole time it never actually levels off until you land :puke:

Never kissed the ground coming out of a plane until I flew 6 hours from Bosnia to German in a C-130. Bumpiest ride I ever had and there wasn't even any turbulence.
jcmorgan31 01-18-2008, 12:42 PM Did I fail to mention that even if the drop zone was a mile away, we usually flew an hour or more before jumping.
This was so the pilots could get their NAP (nap of the earth) and Low Level training time in. What does that mean? It means they back and turn and dip and rise pretending to dodge enemy radar and nonexistent terrain for an hour while we all try to keep our beef stew down.....
Believe me......you jump too.........:peace:
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 12:48 PM Hey, you were lucky to get the beef stew MRE.
My luck would land the eggs or franks, sometimes not eating was a better choice.
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 12:50 PM Had a commander think it was funny to shoot flares at the blackhawk pilots while they were doing NVG training while we were in the field. He got reprimanded and reassigned.
reprimand = promotion to Major
reassignment = choice job in the Pentagon.

Corned Beef Hash was my nemesis.....:censored:
Other than that one, I ate so many MREs, I was considered a gourmet MRE chef by the time I got out. I could make any of the edible....:biggrin1:
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 01:10 PM I really began to get a tasted for warming the white rice and cheese and mixing them. Especially if you had the jalepeno cheese.

I think we were in during different MRE eras..... :noidea:
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 01:17 PM That's possible I was in sept 97-01

91-99 here. The stuff you are talking about was being phased in when I was getting out.... :peace:
clemenlp 01-18-2008, 02:05 PM Yes, and from what I hear the MRE's we had are being phased out again.
Soon there will be a gourmet chef in the package cooking it fresh.
