I got some 40cm fita single spot faces. Center is yellow, then red, blue, black. But there are divisions within the colors, so like, 2 rings of each color together. Am I going by lines or colors? I did shoot 12 "ends" of 5 shots, from 13 yards. (13 yards works out good in the basement with all the obsticles, pipes, floorjoist arrangement and so-on)I can also get 18 yards if I get good enough. But here's how I did, just going by colors.
13 in the yellow
24 in the red
17 in the blue
6 in the black

bite me. Do you want to ask Mistey about it? I did get a 3D target and a TR V drive sight marked down. They took it out of the package and mounted it on a bow. Them I guess they did not sell the bow. So they took it off and tried to sell it as new. I showed them the bolt marks and got it marked down.

Allrighty then. On a 40CM single spot from 13 yards. My first, posted earlier, scored 224 with the LB. This morning not as good with the LB, a 194. Shot a 228 with a 50ish pound Bear, then a 249 with a 35 lb Bear. That thing is sweet. :p But I'll use a 45-50 lb'r for this little competition, I think thats the idea, going with what I'd hunt with. I think thats good enough for "ranking"?

Hopefully I will get to shoot the ole recurve this sunday.:doh:

well, I'm far from an expert, but if I dont concentrate on pulling through the shot so my shooting hand goes straight back to my shoulder, I tend to pluck the string and all my shots go left.

I found my problem, I just plain out suck. I think what my problem is I tilt the bow when I shoot trad. but not the same amount each time.

Just finished a round. Cleared a few things in the basement and have an honest 15 yard line to stand behind now (was 13). I have to keep the bow vertical between the floor joists. Any excuse will do...Shot a 226 with 2Xs. That was with a Ben Pearson Pinto, 46@28, with 2117s. (I draw about 29-29.5 AMO.) I do pretty good up through the 6th end, then fall to crap. I bareshafted alot with a couple different bows the last few days trying to come up with the right stuff. I need to get some 2018s. It was bareshafting the best (I only have one). But the 2117s did OK with 145 grain points. So I submit a 226 w/2x for this week.

FYI the camera should be home on the 24th, I should be able to at least email someone pics of the bows/targets if not post them.

I am shooting a 54" 49# Risen Son Archery longbow, the company used to be Elburg Archery now it sold and is Risen Son Archery. I have two of them and love them. I just ordered a 48" at 54#.

Wow thats a short bow. Is it a handle forward design? Like a "horse" bow? What's your DL and what are you shooting for arrows, and how long? Did you try any bare shafts?

Now I am shooting Heritage 250. I draw 28-28 1/2 in. My arrows are cut at 30"s. I have never tried bare shafting before her is a pic of me with the bow.

I'm having some difficulty with carbons bareshafting. They react much quicker than aluminums. Where a 400-450 aluminum works good, seems I need a 500 or weaker carbon. I have some 400 carbons with 50 grain inserts and they're still a little stiff with 145 grain points in them. Thats the heaviest points I have at this time. (these are cut to 30"), wish I had'nt cut them all. I think if I'd left them full lenth I'd have made out better.
If you bare shaft a couple, I think you want them to be a tad weak, meaning slightly point right, tail left, for a righty. If you have some different points to try, go heavier and see what happens. I find if I get them to the weak side, then fletch, they group a little better.
