I am buying a new bow this year. I shoot 3d 2 times a week and also use the bow to hunt with. I currently shoot a hoyt vetrix 70# 27' draw. I heard for 3d that i should get a longer axle to axle and a bigger brace height is this true? I guess if I had to say i would say i use the bow 80% 3d and 20% hunting. I really dont want to have 2 $800 bows. One for hunting and one to 3d shoot? What do you guys think?

My huntin bow is my 3d bow. It makes you feel good to know that you can make these shots with your huntin bow. The longer bows and the bigger brace height are a more forgiving bow. It really is just what feels good to you when you shoot. In the end buy what you can shoot well, not what other people tell you to shoot.

Yah I guess thats it. I plan on hitting my dealer who stocks a ton of bows. I am pretty sure it will take a whole day of shooting. I love my vectrix, feel, low noise. It just feels home to me. Makes me wonder if I will be buying the Katera
