bullfiddle 02-25-2008, 11:02 PM Ok since I am feeling genorous I will tell you how I kill turkeys... Quit hunting early in the Mornings and late in the evenings. Get out in the woods at about 11:00am and set until 2pm. There is a method to my madness. You turkey hunters know what I am talkin about when a gobbler is roosted with hens and they come off the roost where does the gobbler go:noidea: with the hens and unless you happen to be in the direction those hens are traveling you ain't got a chance. But by midday those same hens are setting on nests and the Gobblers are cruising looking for some new Chicks. That my friends is when ole Tom is the most vulnerable... take his girl friends out of the picture and he's on the prowl. Now you can listen to Ole fiddle and start killin birds this year or you can keep hoppin your gonna call Ole Boss Tom away from the Ladies...:peace:
lungcutter 02-26-2008, 07:44 AM In PA we have to quit at 12:00 and be out by 1:00. They don't like us bumping hens off of their nests:doh:

Heck humans are easier to kill than turkeys. Not that I have killed any humans "lately"...
An old tom turkey is a hard sucker to kill, deer are alot easier to kill than turkeys are.

Well, unless you take a match and some hairspray to them....OoOoOoOo yea that does it!!! :tape: :tape:

If your state lets you hunt all day this real good advise. In Missouri we have to out by 1:00::frusty:
clemenlp 03-04-2008, 07:19 PM 12:00 in New York. What really stinks is when it is 11:30 and a half hour walk to the truck and you hear a group of gobblers fire-up.
