Hunting turkeys with a shotgun? come one...you guys can do better than that! The only way to hunt those thunder chickens is with a bow (unless you are hungry)! Pink and I have been the last two years and have heard lots and lots of gobbles and have yet to even draw back on a bird! This is our year though....I have a feelin!

I'm in, shotgun or bow. If anyone needs a place to hunt I have acess to land in northeast Missouri.

Just do a shotgun AND a bow contest, Just keep them as seperate classifications.
All we really want is to see the pix and have bragging rights.
I've taken only one bird with a bow. Wasn't Turkey hunting at the time tho'. It was the last day out on a deer hunt, never seen anything all day and had a bunch of turkeys walk in on me. After a awhile I thought "What the heck" and actually got away with pulling off on one, never expecting any results, and went home with the bird. I was shooting out of my tree stand.

I start out with my bow but with a 10 day season I quickly go to the gun if need be.. I got lots of Turkeys..they are like rats. :noidea:

I'm right up in the northwest corner of Caddo Parish, about 2 miles from the Texas line and about 4 from Arkansas. for whatever reason there's no turkeys right around where I live........:noidea:

DWF even released some on our property about 20 years ago in a restocking effort and they didn't make it.

I want in 2! First cuple birds are getting laid out with some #6's. After that im game with the bow. Ive always wanted to try to decap a bird with one of those guilitines. Count me in please!!!

Count me in to! You should have turkeys shot with a bow be more points or something like that.

Since this is an archery site I would think the contest should be limited to archery tackle only. Or have two separate contests. Either way.

You don't need a ground bling to kill a turkey with a bow. I have killed 12 so far with a bow and none of them from a blind.

Ok I admit shotgun is the easiest but oh well thats what im using for starts. So give me less points in the contest. Then more points on bow kills. And more points for no blind. And the most points goes to the lucky guy or gal that can totally decap a bird with a bow w/o a blind! Hows that?
