View Full Version : Fiberglass arrows ?

Ha, I know people use fiberglass arrows for fishin set-ups
But i was on e-bay and this Australian archery shop is sell these
fiberglass target arrow like crazy:noidea:
are they heavy?
Im lost with this one:doh:
Is this a new thing?
Here's a pic of some
Anyone know or have used them?

No they've been around forever and they're not too heavy...they are usually for draw weights under 45# though...Alot of guys buy them for youth setups...They sell for a couple bucks a piece...

I know about the Fiberglass one's we use over here
but this is an AUSTRALIAN Pro-shop that doesnt sell any other type of arrow
except Fiberglass and these are rated for a 55-70lb bow:noidea:

I am a bit sceptic on shooting fiberglass arrows and won't be trying them out any time soon... why don't you try a dozen or so and tell us how they work for ya? :biggrin1:

I have no problem with using them on my kids bow (20#), but anything bigger than than, I imagine can't be that great :noidea:

They are probably the same type...we had a member from AU...but he hasn't been around in a year...:noidea:

just thought it was funny on e-bay everybody is bidding on them and not on aluminum or carbon they were bidding on these things like they were gold:noidea:

I used them a lot in the late 50 and early 60's. I killed a lot of deer with them. they were a tough arrow. held up real good. I cant remenber ever breaking one. I didnt know they still made them. I'll have to check ebay and see if I can get some. would like to see how they compare with carbon shafts.

I also used them in the 70's
but im thinking these are made a different way or something
no telling after all these years what technology could do with fiberglass:noidea:
