Well I found a Drenalin and want to set it up. I have really gotten to like the FOBs on my Victory arrow so I want a rest that I can use that captures the arrow and still allows me to use that combo. I am leaning toward a QAD Ultra Rest but have heard you need some sort of attachment to make it work right.

Thanks for the help. The advice I have received on this site has helped me tremendously.

I would try the ripcord. I am shooting FOBs and have a Cobra Diamondback that I think is the best but it is not a full containment. I am going to set a Martin Slayer up for my next bow with a ripcord on it. I have a drop zone on another bow but not real thrilled with it. Muzzy zero effect on a Hoyt I have never been able to get enough clearance on so it is going to go!

Major I'd shoot a PM to Paul Morris and ask him. Most DA's work fine, but DA w/containment-- see if Paul has a recomendation.

I bought an ultra rest hd yesterday and the rest is very smooth its an awesome rest. just not sure if a fob will work though. from what i saw watching the videos and from watching a friend of mine shoot my bow while i watched from the side the only problem i see is the containmant arm catching the fob theres not a lot of drop to the arrow when the rest drops til the fletches clear. maybe they have a different designed (arched bowed something) containmant arm for a fob.

The Trophy Ridge Dropzone works very well with FOBs but it isn't a containment rest.

did you ever find out if the fob will work with the ultra rest? i know you had said that "you need some sort of attachment to make it work right" just curious.

Paul suggested that I get a ripcord instead.

This is what he said about the QAD Ultra Rest

"You will need the TL1 launcher that comes with the rest."

He also said that it helps to get the 08 model ripcord because it has 2 sets of mounting holes and allows more fall away of the arm.

Gary I have a TRDZ on my Q2 and love it. It does work well with the FOBs but I want a containment rest for hunting if I can get it to work.

glad you found a rest, i really do like the ultra rest but i have also heard nothing but good things about the rip cord. i hope it goes above and beyond what you need it to do.

Heard great things about the QAD. But for the money I love my Ripcord.
