I had to have the ligaments shortened up on my leftshoulder about 8 years ago. Kept dislocating my shoulder. Pretty good now.... Good luck Kbo.

As was stated already, don't overdo it. I got popped by a car almost 2 years ago and tried to be a "manly man" getting back to speed. It actually added about 6 months to my rehab on my shoulder. Do the exercises they tell you, STOP when it hurts, and you'll be back in it in no time.

Don't let pride keep you from shooting a low poundage bow. I don't know about you, but I'd rather shoot a bow at 35 or 40# on the road to recovery to stay with the sport rather than pushing it back to 60#+ and knocking yourself out indefinitely (if not for good).

We all get older...and all of the "pushes" we do come back for a visit.

Take care, and good luck to you....health, house, and all.

Kenny,

I had both of mine worked on and the most recently last year I had the right shoulder done. I wasn't able to pull my bow back for about 3 months. So it is going to take some time to heal. My best advice is to do the therapy after the operation and don't try to push it too soon.

Good Luck!

They won't do MRI's during the day around here. It mess' with peoples pace makers or upsets the timing on the microwaves or some such nonsence. :noidea: I had to take my wife in for one at 11pm last month for her's. At least the hospital was nice and quiet.

Hope it all works out for you KBO!

So, does that mean you can still shoot (maybe with a lighter draw weight)??
