OK Guys,
up here in new england it has been raining for a week and there is no sign of stopage. is a 2 inch an hour rain going to affect arrow flight?
I'm going to don my rain gear and stock small game maybe a turkey.
am I going to have to aim high?

I've only shot one tournament in a down pour like you are describing. With a large alert deer at 35 yards, you could barely see it. Yes, my arrows hit low but I'm not sure it wasn't the fact that the bow was completely soaked.

Chris how low did you hit at 35 yards?
2-3 inches? or was it significant?

It was a long time ago but it was only about 3-4 inches.

As your string comes forward every rain drop slows it down some:laugh:

Another reason to add some yardage in heavy rain is you string can also get soaked with water and slow it down. Good reason to wax them strings
