Thought you all might enjoy a pic. Got to spend 4 days in michigan and saw plenty of deer, no bucks though. I got a kick out of the two fawns, looked like a couple of bookends. Here one is getting nervous, trying to run me off, momma did not care though! It was all I could not not to bust out laughing at this little one.

Smart deer.....

Those are called aiming spots in michigan.......and we have early doe season starting soon.

Heck we shoot em so small here in the great lakes state that we started a new breed of golden retriever, He'll fetch ducks in the morning and fawns in the afternoon.:frusty:

Gator Eye,

Yeah, my boyfriends family is where we were at. You are right you all shoot them young up there and if it has 3" of antler well it is down....

What do you think of the antler restrictions that the UP has??? After seeing the size of racks hanging the the garage I must admit I would be for it. The first buck I shot was a tall basket 6, and his dad that it was a great trophy...... maybe I have been around IL and KY too long to think that :noidea:

Oh well, Don't shoot spots LOL

Cute! You could have swung by and picked up your sling. :p Should mail out in the morning too.

I shot a pocket deer a couple of years ago. I thought it was bigger...then at the end of my blood trail was a little deer about the size of my golden retriever.   Ego deflater! She was tasty litle thing though. I try to look for age signs now before getting too geeked.
