Lots of bear. It's pretty easy to find some good bear. It's finding the big bucks thats hard. SandSquid 09-11-2008, 05:28 PM time to keep that 45 on your hip. :D Think "stopping power", indeed! I used to hike, camp, and hunt a lot in the northern woods, and because of big ladies like this, I carried a .44 Magnum revolver. Trust me, if you are ever charged by a pissed off momma bear, you want to drop her with the first shot, no questions asked. It's happened to me once, and I was damned glad I had the "hand cannon" with me, and a pair of clean skivvies. clemenlp 09-11-2008, 09:55 PM Think "stopping power", indeed! He said he was on a trial that a boar was not interested in sharing. No time for the rifle so he dropped it with the .41 from the hip. |
