I been seeing a 10 and a 8,both real tall and wide...The thing about our area is when the Rut hits other Bucks move in to our Does..We seen Bucks taken off the property that none of us had seen before...

I am hoping to meet up with a 150 public ground buck this year, I have seen a couple in the area and had a run in with one last year I couldnt get drawn back on because my saftey harness....:Cry:

Kewl beans bro,I got the first weekend off...It really doesnt matter for me though...I hunt on work property and only live 5 minutes from work to begin with...I will miss some morning hunts but I will hit every good evening...DNR was out and about this past week,they patrol our area pretty good,he said he seen a monster back by the old barns,,,He He,,yea so did I but I did not tell him that...He said it had to be a 10,I told him all I had seen was a real nice 8...Him and safety boss are pretty good buds,I wasnt giving out to much info...That 10 he seen is a very nice Deer,I have seen him 6 or 7 times and I know where 3 of his bedding areas are "at least for now"...My plan is to stay off his beds and hunt the edges of them,using the wind in my favor of course...There are 2 big Oaks in the fence row and looked like a couple more back by the creek...The big storm we got this past weekend knocked everything out of the trees,gust were at 81 mph...The squirrel's are already on the ground...I hope that dont goof things up...

I went and shot today,best I have shot all year...I feel really good out to 60, I was putting 3 arrow groups in a 8'' paper plate and never had one drop out "shot 5 groups"...I was kind of worried about my distance,I started goofing with my bow last night and moved my sights away from my eye,took my peep off and started shooting with both eyes open...I dont see how people shoot with a peep,I do so much better with both eyes open..It has a 3-d feel to it..It works alot better for me now,I got that 4X lens on my sights...I will be able to count a Deers eye lashes LOL...

Red Man,when are getting home?

I am going every evening when i get off work,I picked up two more places to hunt that are infested with whitetail...I am building a fence for one guy and he said he will let me hunt deer any time I want to,just let him know what I am driving and its a done deal...Building hunter,/land owner relationships has been good to me this season...

i am leaving 2 day and will be home the 5

just got back from camp i went out in the morning and froze 2 death! had a nice 7 point come 15 yards from the stand nothing 2 brag about but he was nice it was about 7:15 am and i was so cold i could not pull my bow back sorry guys:frusty: but i have all this week 2 kill a deer:amen:

Been off and on here,got busted on the draw by a deer i never seen,it was thick in the creek bank...Seen two more does near the apple tree but never got a clear shot...Im taking tonight off and back to the woods I go til i get tired...

The bucks are still running together here,there is a couple solo bone heads running around though...I wish they would hurry up and break out of the dayum batchelor groups...I do better when its 1 on 1 it can be hard to beat 4 to 6 eyes with one head up and 2 down eating,I HATE THOSE DAYS ....Very hard to draw on em...

Everything on the east side of Diefenbach road to where it hits Silver creek...Thats also pictures of my work,these were pix are about 3 years old now,this was done while they were logging...The road is closed now,all the land is quarry land now...

went out saturday i seen a real little 8 point i let him walk but he did not go to far my friend got him at 9:30am he was an 8 with a 11 1/2 inch spread not the biggest thing but it was his first deer with the bow

My tree saddle came in today,its pretty cool...I might do some practicing in it around lunch time between hunts...Easy to set up and its very light,its strong material,I am impressed so far...

I had a Doe come in around 7:30 AM ,,, she grazed the browse for about 20 minutes but never offered me a kill shot,she was around 45 yards and to the east...Know way she smelled me,she got me very flustered though...I hate when they do that...Thats Bow Hunting and I still love it...I pulled out of that set about 10 and went to check on another spot that is warming up,at 10:20 there was a huge Doe still in the open field wandering around eating the greens...I watched where she went in the wood line and my stand is about 25 yards..I found the biggest Buck droppings I have seen all year in that area...It is very thick with a really nice clean Clay/Slate drainage ditch that snakes through it east to south east and dumps into major creek...I am tempted to let her hang around because I think that Buck will pair up with her shortly,its getting closer every day...I have not seen anything paired up yet but they look to be busting up out of those groups...I seen 3 Deer today and all of them were running solo...

Well guys,I missed a Doe tonight...The wind was gusting hard but thats not my excuse...I just flat out missed her big arse...She is big and I misjudged the distance and shot low..I need a range finder, I admit it ...I did see 3 total tonight...I was kind of in shock that they were even moving,the wind has been up pretty bad all day long...Its ok I still have my Vac to lay the smack down...I will bust at least two this year...
