Been thinking of adding a MeanV or STS to the bow. I probaly would have thrown one on if I had threads on the back of the riser. It would have to be a front mount though. Any body ever had there riser threaded for that reason?
Would it be better to play it safe and put a front mount on. Do they make a big difference?

Each bow is different. On some bows they are a definite improvement on others barely noticeable. What kind of bow are you shooting maybe someone that shoots the same thing can give you some advice.

I don't have one on my bow, but would like to try one someday, just can't seem to bring myself to buy one. Maybe if you list what type of bow you have someone may be trusting enough to let you try theirs if they have the same type of bow:noidea:

Front mount would be worth it. I have one on all my bows.

I would not recomend drilling and tapping a hole in the back of the risor, just buy a front mount. I have bows with them and with out. I notice a differiance on my faster 3d and out door bows, seem to add some consistancy to the way the arrow leaves the string. I think they are GREAT for smaller brace height bows, under 7", any thing over that and I can take it or leave it. Hope that helps.

If you have threading on the belly of your riser, go to the hardware store and get a bolt that will screw in. braize/weld a nut to the top of this. Screw a threaded rod into that nut. This threaded rod should have a 1/2'' wood screw welded to it. Cut a section of caulk from a dried tube and screw it into the screw. I've been using this for almost a month now and my bow is beastly quiet and the caulk is holding up well.

I just bought one from robin hood videos [they make suppressors also] I put it on my mathews switchback yesterday an had to re site my bow, all arrows were hitting high so that tells me that I picked up arrow speed. The bow seems quieter also. I just wish when I bought this one that I would have bought one for my other bow also. I bought it at Forksville pa at the Bowhunter Fest. now I have to mail order one. If your interested thier web site is www.robinhoodvideos.com I really like mine

I currently have the String Tamer Sr. on my Drenalin. It's a rear mount and love it. If you can find a rod long enough, I have an extra STS at the house I'll give you. I had to cut the rod for a Mathews, but I have the mounting attachment and the rear stopper, all you need is the rod!
