i am in the process of purchasing a mission x5. i went to put more money down on it today and found my wisker biskit was missing. the owner said he had to take it off mine and put it on another mission for an up front costumer. i asked him about the qad capture rest and said he would nock off the difference of a whisker biskit and i would pay the 50 bucks difference. i said ok.

any one got an opinion about the qad capture rest? and any suggestions on a stabilizer?

I have the QADs on all my bows. 1000s and 1000s of shots without a failure. :noidea: Simple concept that works for me everytime (knock on wood). With blazers, it takes a bit to get fletching clearance, but once you have it set, it is rock solid and deadly consistent. My .02

I have a QAD hunter on mine but have been thinking of switching to a biscuit. Mine seems loud. Not as loud as the Shakey hunter I used to have, but louder than I like. Is yours loud? Maybe mine needs tuned? It is consistent.

I'm actually very surprised to read PA.JAY's comments above about the QAD?!? Rarely, if ever, will you see someone that doesn't love the QAD rests! :dizzy:

I own many of the most popular fallaway rests available and the QAD HD is without a doubt my al-time fav. They are easier to set-up and tune (most instances require 3 shots or less to bullethole tune) and they stay tuned. They are as quiet as ANY fallaway and quieter than most. I have them set up now on a few rigs and have fired thousands of rounds in every imaginable weather/hunting condition and they have fuctioned flawlessly on all my rigs. I couldn't imagine a better rest for serious bowhunting.

I'm definately not in love with mine. I think for 3-d it would be fine for me, as I can't shoot at the same spot at 30 yds without wrecking arrows.
I am seriously thinking about taking it off for hunting though. I have an old quicktune 750 I'll probably use.

I have one on my new Hoyt Super Hawk and with the exception few minor setup issues in the beginning it has worked flawlessly ...

One other thing I would like to add .. when I called the tech department at QAD they helped diagnose and solve the issues I had, with ZERO hesitation and the utmost courtesy and patience for my lack of knowledge.

When I purchase my Katera XL later this month , I will be putting another QAD Hunter Pro on it.

If Full containment is an issue then QAD is a good choice, although I've had better luck with the Ripcord.

When it comes to Dropaways the Limb Driver is hands down the best out there IMHO. No timing issues or resulting fletching clearance problems. It just flat out works and is by far the easiest and simplest to tune and setup.

when it was working it was a good rest but I would of never used it for hunting anyways just because of how loud the rest it's self is & I don't mean the forks hitting the rest it's just a loud rest to me. If I didn't jump on the limb driver ban wagon I would have a ripcord on my hunting bow. sry if this isn't what the poster wanted to hear but thats JMO just trying to help.

Mine is the same way. It is louder than my bow.
