My best friend found this buck dead last winter and I finally got a picture of it on my cell phone. He found in an isolated tree line near a creek on his family's large farm. It was in the middle of the land within 300 yards of his house without a mark on it. No signs of trauma at all. A lot of deer died last year around his area from EHD, everyone blamed it on the dry weather. We never had any pics of this buck. I posted this on AT, but thought I would put it here so DB could check it out. The only good thing is hopefully his genes were passed on through the years.

Can't deer die from being chased by dogs, it wears them down and eventually they get sick with pnemonia or something, especially during winter? Maybe, that's not right. To bad you didn't get a chance to hunt him, but thats a great find.:thumb:

At least he found the rack and skull. Would make a nice mount on an old barn board or log or something. Sad that he didn't get the chance to hunt it in all its glory!

They can in VA. Mostly because there is probably 300 dudes with guns lining the road waiting to throw a wall of lead at it.........all right, I'll get off my soap box and mind my own buisness......:pout:

My buddy had a P&Y scorer from the neighboring county go over them, I do not have the numbers in front of me, but if remember correctly he said they grossed 208".

I think when you hit 175,you got a alot of bone,over 200 is just amazing..The biggest harvest in Inidana last season was Non Typ. 238 2/8 ... Typ. 175 3/8
A 200 Typical is just breath taking...
I bet he was shredding some tree's up,,,I bet bucks just ran from that head gear LOL...
