Hey guys,

I got a windstalker on my 2001 Darton. I bought this bow used and it came with it. I emailed the seller and asked him about it, he liked it and said it added speed. I do not have a prolem with it, but the bow tech I took it to said that they are not great due to cable wear and to look into changing it. What do you guys recommend? I would have to get the entire system if I replace the windstalker.

did the seller not send the original cable guard rod with the bow? If he didnt, I would shoot it like it is and see if it wears the cable. no need to spend money fixing something that aint broke.

if setup correctly they will not wear cables. So I wouldn't take it to that guy because sounds like he don't know how to set them up. I will look down stairs I had extra cable holders for one .If I do i'll let you know & send them to ya.

I had one on a Mojo and I didn't like it at all. It did show cable wear within the first 50 shots and I actually lost speed. Also it should have been set up correctly, I had the guy from windstalker put it on and set it up.

As for changing the whole system, all you will need is another cable rod and a new cable slide. Very easy to do.

I would recommend changing back to the factory set up.
