Alright here is my problem. I have a Mathews FX and i use a whisker biscuit. I use Beman ICS Hunters and blazer fletchings. I have constantly been having a problem with black streaks appearing on my two outside fletchings (non odd) Anybody have same problem? Solutions? Reasons?

Thanks

It's possible those fletchings are hitting the frame of the WB. (the rim that holds the fibers) Use some spray footpowder on that rim (let it dry) and see if the vanes are leaving a mark on the rim. If it is, you have something to fix/adjust to get them through clean.
Do you use a D-loop or are you clipping directly on the string?

i'm clipping onto the string.

Seeing as your fletchings already have marks, you'll want the spray footpowder to be sure, but you might try raising the nockpoint a bit. Clipping directly under the arrow puts a little downforce on the nock end of the arrow on release. (perhaps causing the vanes to make contact with the rim) You may be able to raise the nockpoint to adjust for it.

alright. Thanks for all your help!

Are you shooting groups. If you shoot all your arrows at one spot all the time it may cause those streaks. Just an idea.

yes, i am shooting in groups but i don't think they are close enough and consistent enough to get the same patterns of black on all of my arrows. But thanks for the idea.

MoneyMaker Man is right though, but if it's the same two lower fletches on all of them I'd bet it's the WB rim.

I'm probably just going to get a D loop. If i get a D loop should I still raise the nock point?

the edges of the bisquit are tighter than the middle so when your vanes go through the grab a little tighter on the edges of the vanes and i think that is what causes the streaks.

I would start at level (square) and see how it goes.
If your worried about stinking up the WB with the spray powder, you can pop off the disc after and wash it out and let dry, The WB frame you can clean on the bow so as not to loose it's place.

Make sure you're nocks are turned so you're not hitting the black bristles at the bottom as well.

I agree. Plus I shoot a whisker biscuit and white blazers. When I first started tuning my bow my blazers were hitting the frame of the whisker biscuit. I had to spend some time turning the nock until my blazers were lined up properly and not hitting the frame. I would sugest using the footpowder.

I shoot my blazers odd color up.
