I would like to try and go to Kansas next yr or the next if i dont get drawn. How's the public land up there? Which area of the state do you recommend? Any other info that you think may be helpful please send it to me in a pm or post it. Thanks

This is my second year hunting Kansas and so far I have only hunted in the southeast corner. The eastern half of Kansas is a little more bowhunter friendly due to fact that there is more cover there. In Kansas you must choose two units, and those two units MUST connect to each other. As far as the public land goes, there is great hunting in Kansas on public land. Look for units that will give you the most opportunity to access as much land as possible. That way you should be able to find a spot that has good deer and that has light hunter traffic. Good luck!
