I found out yesterday that I have been chosen to be hired to the US Army Corp of Engineers, effective Dec 22nd.
I applied back in August and am actually taking the place of someone that I have worked with before.
I am really excited, this will mean a little more economic security for my family and myself.
I always missed being in the Army, now I get a little of that back!!!!

I feel much better knowing the Hudson will be properly Dredged now.
I was really worried when the Intrepid got mired in muck. Try not to let that happen again, OK?

As long as you are dredging rivers perhaps you can get the potomac and maybe widen it by about 2 miles in DC? It started a swamp and has only turned into a quagmire so as conservationists we should return it to its original state right?

Actually, thank goodness I am not an Enviromental Engineer, I don't understand it and most of the time could care less as long as you are not trashing the place or causing some unnatural animal mutations.
As for the levies in New Orleans........ well, no comment I didn't work there then and if I did it wouldn't be my fault, just because it's not my fault.
I will be doing construction quality assurence on the Fort Drum Expansions.
