DB, got the good reply, thanks. FYI: I purchased an 08 BowTech TomKat as a package, do you know of any folks who use the same set up? & if so can you offer a brief " Real World" evaluation from the owner of field use as it applies to hunting. I do not hear much about the TomKat & I can imagine why with all the other big player type bow sets.
Knocknroll: you're all right thanks man for all the good intel.

Dicksenn here might be of more help. I know thats a popular bow.

You did well. Richard (Dicksenn) Is a staff shooter for Bowtech.

Congradulations.

The TomKat is good bow.

It should be plenty forgiving with an 8 1/4" brace height yet still short enough to manuever around in a treestand at 31 3/4" axle to axle. I haven't shot the TomKat recently but if memory recalls it had a solid backwall and very little hand vibration at the shot, if any. It should be a great performer with the hostage package setup. The only thing I recomend which I do with all my bows is shoot it a week or two and then check your mod screws, sometimes they are not that tight right out of the box, if there loose snug them up and they should be fine from then on out.

Enjoy your new bow.

Richard

Yes, definitely don't crank down on them or you will strip them. "Snug" will do just fine. :D

Both of my sons shoot the Tomkat. Good shooting bow, quiet and pretty fast. My youngest will take his tomkat over the 2nd Tribute that I just picked up. They both love them. Mod screws will come loose and a snugging will do the trick.
