HI guy's,i am inquiering on a Mattews Mq1 for target is it any good need your opinons Please.

What type of target shooting. Was a very good bow......although I have shot both and prefer the Icon a little more......

Basiclly 3-D,and what is the icon i also own a switchback.

Wait you have a Switchback and you are looking for a 3-D bow???? You already have the best, why get something less????

I only got a target bow as my shoulder was starting to give me trouble shooting indoor...... A Mathews Icon is a very slow bow, Its almost as smooth as the Switchback, but the main reason I bought it, was the price was right and the 40-50lbs limbs were perfect.

but when you are shooting indoor, your only usally shooting 20 yds and all you have to do is clear the ceilling (heard that from some one else on here and liked it)

Have you shot a Apex 7 yet?

In my opinion the mq1 is the best bow mathews ever made. I'm sure I'm not alone on this either. Not the fastest thing in the word but darn accurate. My brother is shooting one and loves it.:peace: :peace:

No have not shoot the apex,the reason for the Mq1 is $200 compared to the apex.

I would have to agree that it was a very good bow, but best they ever made? Not to say you are wrong but if it was and still is the best then why are there not more people using it still??

Because they don't make a 2006 model of it. Most guys need that new bow and it isn't new any longer. My brother shot in the pro am in ILL and his pro loved his mq1, but isn't shooting one because it isn't new.
