GT500 vs Z28. Which one and why. I like the longer ATA of the GT500 and the 8" BH of the Z is impressive. How's the draw compared to each other?

Draws were about the same to me. A little longer valley on the z-28.
I voted for the z because it fits me best, but u really need to shoot both and make ur own decision. See which one fits u best. They are both great bows.

I am gonna make a few assumptions here:

1. You have a shorter draw length
2. You will be hunting from a treestand

Therefore, I picked the Z28 for you.
1. Shorter A2A tends to work better for shorter drawlengths
2. The Z28 has(from what I've read) a better valley, often needed in a hunting situation. In other words, will a more forgiveness in the creep area.

I have both bows. I have a 29" draw. I prefer the Z as a hunting bow. Plenty of speed with a big forgiving brace height. I also prefer the shorter bow when walking around the woods and sitting in the stand.

I voted for the Gt500 I have shot the Z28 it is a great bow but for me the GT500 just feels better. My gt is 27 inch draw with the Cuda Cams.

28.5" draw

Im that draw and used the GT500 this year. But the Z28 is the best bow for hunting. Short and ideal in the blind or stand. Ill have one bt turkey season to use. I shoot 28 1/2" myself

I voted for the Z28, I've shot them both and they are very similar, maybe a touch more vibration in the GT500 but I don't know if it was timed or not. Both have a very smooth draw with the slight edge going to the Z overall. It is very dead in the hand, holds well and is one of the quietest at the shot of any bow out there right out of the box. I bought one, even though I didn't get a chance to shoot it first and would have liked the GT500 too but I already have an E 500, GTO or Envy if I want more speed. Kevin S. commented that the Z is probably the best hunting bow he has designed. :amen:

I was told that Elites new partner/owner will be making LH risers available on all new models. Unless that happens w/ in a few months It'll be between the GT500 and Monster, possibly the Hyperlite or DXT. Z28 would be nice though, those specs are unbelievable.

GT500 for me, good all round bow, but I do have a 31" draw length.
