These are some excellant arrows. They flew great. So good my shooting partners shooting them at KC shootout because his have not arrived yet.

Shot my best so far tonight with them and I just threw them together today.
Not fine tuned yet.

They do catch some lines. Saved me some points.

Thems some FAT shafts. Are they bigger than the 30X? Or are they the new 30Xs?

Thems some FAT shafts. Are they bigger than the 30X? Or are they the new 30Xs?

Here the specs. They shoot better than my 30X.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The “Triple X” features a new maximum diameter allowed shaft with three point options available that accept our weight system. At an O.D. of .421 it is sure to make a hit on the indoor scene and with a weight of 9.4 GPI it will get some crossover use in the 3-D arena. It will be available in a Triple X Pro Series with specs of +/-.001 straightness and weight sorted +/-.5 grains per dozen. It will also be available in a Triple X Series with a straightness of +/-.005 and also weight sorted to +/-.5 grains.
· The 30X Ultralight is going to replace the 30X. It will be popular in the 3-D world at 8.5 GPI and be available with the standard 50/100/150 grain point. It will be available in the Standard +/-.005 straightness and the Pro Series which is a +/-.001 straightness. Both grades are weighed within +/-.5 grains.
· In the Gold Tip Traditional shaft there will be an additional arrow size added to the lineup of the most realistic cedar-looking carbon shaft on the market. The new size is a 15/35 and is a .600 spine shaft. This should be very popular in the traditional market place.
· The majority of shafts in the Gold Tip line will have a new label phased in to eliminate the wear problems you have seen with some of the labels in the past, particularly the target shafts. The new clear-coated labels are very durable and will leave your arrows looking great a lot longer.
· In the Vanetec lineup of Vanes we have a new 1.5” HP vane to compliment the 2” HP vane we launched last year. This really completes the lineup of vane offerings with:
5”/4”/3”/2.5”—standard profile
1.75” fita/1.8”/2.3”/3.0”—Super spine low profile
1.5”/2.0”HP –High Profile
These high quality vanes with the best weight consistency, memory, and ease of use of any vane in the market really add to the overall performance of Gold Tip arrows.

Awesome looking arrows, I had one in my hands yesterday, A friend of mine – Beerman shot a 29X 300 Vegas yesterday with them, when he was done it darn’ner looked like 3 holes,
I believe he was running the 150 grain tips in his, and of all his arrows setup – they were all consistent from one to the next, which is nice you buy a dozen and get a dozen -- with out having to spend a bunch of time group tuning.

Art Brown just called and he shot a round with the triple X arrows. Said he never missed an X. He really impressed.

Dan

What are you running up front on yours?
Beerman was running the 150 gr. points with a standard 4” vane

He was tossing around the idea of running the 2” high profiles.

Im shooting 200grns. Love the new points from Goldtip, there perfectly sharp like the pro points. 28" long 4" feathers with right helical. Pin nocks.

There working great. Of course my shooting partner has them now for next weeks shoot at KC. He shot them this morning and he said there perfect.

They are the same size as the regular 30 x's just lighter,,,probably a little weeker spine

I was going to order some, but I still have plenty of the original 30 'x ...Lancaster is the only major spot shoot that I attend...so I just didn't see the point....

Ive shot 100's and 150is in the front...both shoot good...5 inch feather...I use the McKinney pin nock....

I didn’t actually measure them yesterday but are the Triple Xs as large in diameter as the 30 Xs? They looked awful big, to be honest with you I thought they were larger in diameter then my 2712s but figured do to all the restrictions that were imposed that they were probably the same diameter.

Thanks They look real nice will they be making them for the older 30X arrows? And also do they accept the goldtip screw on weights that screw into the back?

Yes they accept the screw in tips. That one is a 150grn with a 50grn screw in weight.

Im not sure if there making them for 30X yet. But Tim told me the Triple X arrows are ready for sale.

are those the arrows the Tim was shooting awhile back that everyone was making the fuss over, you seen the video and heard the thud the arrow was making when it hit the backstop? Looks like when you get a hole made after the first shot then any shot close may slip back into the hole easier.

Im sure these are what Tim was shooting and testing. Never thought about the tip hitting the same hole. Im told the arrows dont tend to kick up or down with this point. I agree with that for sure.

No they are not the same arrows

These are the same diameter as the 2712s
Tim’s arrows from last years were a estimate 5/8" in diameter
those arrows made a big deal on the webs after the Iowa Pro-am event I was there and they were not as bad with the thud as the folks started passing around on the web sites also I give Tim a lot of credit I thought his target face looked pretty darn nice for shooting such a large shaft, 90% of the people there would have wished it was their target face when finished

No those arrows were actually carbon blanks that GT sold to a stablizer manufactor...tim made them into arrows in an attempt to prove a point...that the industry/competition needs to have a max size arrow...

Whats real funny is the <diamond> company fussed and cussed to get the NFAA to hold " that speacial meeting at vegas." .to elimanate the new rule for arrow shaft size.....but then the NFAA turned around and told tim he wasn't allowed to shoot his big momba jombas....(hint..Gold tip didn't donate enough (any) money to the NEW NFAA facility.....talk about double standards.....

Tim mentioned the Idea of making the 27 size arrow for 09 this summer.... Tims GT loyal and competitive..does not want the <diamond> company to have an advantage.

Like or hate tim...He speaks his mind..he does not follow the beat of the same drum beat because everyone else does...He truly loves the sport and wants it to grow...and everyone/manufactor have an equal playing field...

Im still shooting the original 30x's I may order some triple x (fat bastard arrows) tomarrow but my 30 x's are shooting pretty good.
