Is it possible to shoot a Martin Slayer that is IBOed at 350 70lbs. and 30" draw to shoot a 324 grain arrow at around 55lbs, 27" draw? Or would that be WAY to light?

I do not know about Martin but I would only drop it down to 60#. The 324gr arrow will be fine at 60#. I am just not sure how low below the 60 you can go. PM JCMORGAN31 he is a Martin dealer and a great guy.:peace:

If it is the slayer x model i would not back the limbs out to 55lbs, 60 should be the max. As for the arrow weight the arrows are fine at 55lbs you can drop to a 275 grain arrow at 5 grains per pound and be fine.

I got it cleared up with JC. Thanks for all the help guys. I can go down to 300 grains with out voiding the warranty.

actually, if maintaining 5 gr/lb you can go down to 275 grains and still be within warranty specs at 55#.

For those that don't know Martin bows, they have a 15# range, meaning 15# down from the peak. That being said, they have long enough limb bolts and threds can be seen through a barrel nut that they can be safely shot at about half their rated draw weight, although I wouldn't recommend it as a long term deal. If you want to shoot at some minimum weight then it's best to replace the limbs.
