Blazer vanes
Quickee Quiver for hunting
Wheely quiver for 3D
Posten stab
Limbsavers
Ranger strings/cable(s)
redhdcharm BCY loop rope
TRU Ball Tornado release for hunting, buckle or velcro

Oooooo....setting the bar pretty high right off the get up and go....don't think you missed much.
Anybody noticed any noise using the LimbDriver rest? I shot the dealer's personal hunting bow with it and it seemed to make a "springy" noise. Not really loud, but i'm picky.

I am picky too but once I tried one I'm hooked.
That's why I am going to use the NAP drop away arrow holder/pad. It runs the whole length of the shelf, front to back and the launcher will hit that when it drops. I'm just trying to find one without having to pay as much in shipping as I do for the arrow holder itself.... I have a piece of molehair on it now but it don't make much noise. When that NAP pad goes on there it won't sound like anything.
PM JCMorgan31. He sells them and has a good price and great service and advice.
Ron
sweetpea111 02-21-2009, 09:31 PM I use a limbdriver rest and I seem to hear the same noise. Took it back to where i got it and he messed with it but it still has a humming noise i think.
pilot 02-21-2009, 09:32 PM Hello. Is this customer service? Yes, well then i'm calling to let you guys know that your Limbdriver rest makes too much noise so i can't hunt with it. No, i can't return it for a refund, its not installed on MY bow. No, i don't have the receipt, i didn't pay for it. Well, i'm just letting you guys know you make a sub-par product and that's why i didn't spend my money on it is all. Well, there's no reason to get nasty with me about it ma'am....it's your product.
:peace:

What is the launcher hitting ? Just curious because you should be able to use mole hair and get rid of that noise. I do know of the noise you speak of though.
Ron

I will say i shot some really awesome groups using that bow even though i had never picked it up in my life....maybe some of it could be attributed to the rest. :noidea:

When i took it back he put some mole hair on it but i still can hear a humming kinda noise. Its not that loud at all but i Hunt with it and want it as quiet as i can get it.

Check out the video on vapor trail's web site.
It's pretty neat because the limb drive seems to support the arrow a lot longer than a typical drop away does. And then the thing slams down at the very last split second. The viedo is pretty neat to look at anyway. And the design is very sound. It's very well built. I'm picky about fit and finish and how many moving parts there are. This rest is elegantly simple.

red44 02-21-2009, 09:57 PM The G5 rest is getting pretty good reviews. I don't know how it would fit on the AM though. It's supposed to be real quite. I have no issues with my LD, just throwing out another option. My TT has been bombproof too, but it's not quiet.
I also use a tureball tornado w/buckle, but I'd look at a carter 2shot or quicky. Supposed to have a great trigger.
Axe the handheld, they're for girls.

So far i've liked all the G5 stuff i've tried but i haven't looked at that rest. I see they make a Hoyt specific model too....
I typically like full capture rests BTW, but i'm keeping an open mind and i didn't put any limitations on what you guys could recommend.

If fiddle cant sell you a bodoodle you might take a look at the full capture dropaways. I've got a ripcord that's been a good rest...:peace:

One of my buds has a ripcord and to my knowledge he has never had an issue with it. Seems well made but he's draw length challenged like Banned Bunny so I cannot shoot that thing he has to save my life...

I'm shooting a QAD Ultra Rest Pro dropaway on my General and i like it but i get the impression that it's sensitive to setup and timing. I've heard that it is prone to not dropping away even though i've personally had no issues with it. :noidea:

swintj1 02-22-2009, 10:39 AM Here's my opinion Pilot...
1) Limbdriver Rest
2) Carbon Express Maxima's (correctly spined)
3) Fuse Axium (6")
4) SkyCoil 4-pin Sight
5) Keep the Fuse strings until they wear out, then get some VaporTrails
6) Cat whiskers
Give that set-up a try. I think you'll be happy with the set-up. My brother just bought this set-up, very effective at vibration dampening, and very quiet.
Let me know what you decide. Great purchase by the way! Great bow!
