The new 2009 Diamondback Binoculars will begin shipping next week to our dealers. The first shipment will include the 42mm and 28mm series followed by the 50mm in a few weeks and 36mm the first part of June.
So what's the difference with the new Diamondbacks? The following is a list of improvements:
Optically:
+7% better light transmission from additional optical coatings applied to the lenses.
Construction:
Argon purging - Upgraded purging process over Nitrogen. Argon does not absorb or react chemically with water - maintains its protective properties over a wider temperature range than Nitrogen- does not diffuse as quickly as other elements, extending the service life of the optics.
Diamond checker pattern in protective rubber provides a solid non-slip grip in all conditions.
