XQuest 05-11-2009, 08:47 PM 75% blockage in one of the two arteries that go around the heart, major surgery in all above 70%. Let you know when I know. They are still trying to medicate her.
For all of you out there that have had a similar circumstance I don't know how you took the pain of seeing your loved one hurting in a hospital and not being able to switch places with them.If I could I would in a heartbeat but that's not on the table.
Holding the faith

XQuest 05-13-2009, 10:12 PM She was dismissed from hospital 3:30pm. She has to go in for shot tomorrow and wait about 10 days before going back for more tests. They want to know what the meds she is taking is having on her blockage. If they don't get what they want she will have to do the bypass surgery. We really won't know anything else for at least 10 days.

XQuest 05-22-2009, 06:29 PM Latest on Rosie Pridgen
As of today and after seeing the heart doctor she got this news. Seems they want to treat the blockage with medication and diet. This will not be a short time endeavor as she has to lose some weight, eat a healthy diet and exercise according to what they say. She will be on meds for a long time (blood thinners and cholesterol) but the good news is she can shoot her bow, just not overdue it as in climbing a bunch of hills etc. She has to go in every 2 weeks to check blood regulation and then every month later on. No surgery is scheduled at this time. Next Wednesday she goes in for a stress test and that’s where we will find out just what she can do.
Well, Rosie thought it was good news as well as I, she sure didn’t want them to open that chest and for that matter, I wouldn’t either.
Keeping the faith

red44 05-22-2009, 08:43 PM Thats pretty good Dean. Any time they don't have to do surgery and can treat with meds is a good sign. Surgery now-a-days is last resort to fix a problem. Good for her. Heck we could all use a little diet and exercise. Thanks for keeping us up on it.
Daniel Boone 05-22-2009, 10:05 PM Rosie no average lady. She a fighter and lives life to the fullest.
She just won indoor nationals. By a large margin. Hurting shoulder and all.
I know if anyone can fight this Rosie will. Rosie will be back on her Harley in no time.
