I am looking for why or what features these sights have that helped you make your decision to spend your money on either of these sights.

Make that two of us who want input. I've narrowed my choice to these two sights as well.

I have never used the CBE sight, so on that I cannot comment. But, I do have the Axcel and really like it alot. It is considerable lighter than my past adjustable sight, easier to adjust and much more solid.

I have played with both, they are both really nice sights, myself I would go with the Axcel, although the New CBE is nice and solid, I still think the adjustments are nicer, the clicks are better, and IMO over all tolerances are better and tighter on the Axcel,
Plus you can remove the scope from the Axcel where the CBE you cannot.

I own a CBE quad lite and an Axcel 4500. I have to say that I prefer the Axcel sight. One feature I really like is the quick adjustment capability.

Never needed or wanted another sight in my lifetime.

Just never had a CBE fail me.

I hunt with one and shoot tournament with one.

I screw my aluminum block out if I need to work on my scope.

25yrs and one thing I can count on is my CBE sight.

Have a Qaud lite on my other bow.

Both are great sights. I currently use a 2009 axcel. I have last years axcel and honestly can tell that is isnt nearly the sight of this years model. The last years model isnt nearly as beefed up as this years sight. Last years sight started breaking down on the dove tail and it only had one screw to tighten down the 2nd and 3rd axis and if you didn't lock tight it down it would come loose. This years sight is made a lot better. It has 2 screws on the 2nd and 3rd axis and the dove tail is beefed up. I don't think you can get a more user friendly sight or better made but I will never say anything bad about the sure loc or CBE sights. I do beleive the CBE and the sure loc are lighter in weight. They are awesome sights as well. Either way you go wont be a bad decision.
Just my 2 cents.

After a couple years of going to ASA shoots and seeing all the different things that can happen to sights I chose the CBE. I like how solid and simple they are. Nothing to go wrong at the worst moment. Shooting field I do miss the quick adjust feature (not really at 3-d), but the confidence of having a rock solid sight is worth the little extra time it takes to click back and fourth.

Axcel was my close second choice, but I too saw the things Jame mentioned. My buddies that shoot them all have last years model, so maybe this year's are better.

Its light and built rock solid. Far as tolarances on CBE. Joe who started CBE made ever sight and the tolarances were darn tight. My new Quad from CBE has the same tolarances. I have one of the oringinal CBE and I just loaned it to a buddy for his daughter. NO telling how many years old it is and is still tight and works great.

I miss Joe and Sandy the oringinal owners of CBE. Folks at Scott have shown me there carring on the tradition of making fine sights.
