I have a guy that comes into the shop. He bought an 80# trykon XL in safari color with camo limbs. This is the nicest looking Hoyt I have seen.
Well, he was shooting right after it rained the other day. He said he put the bow down to go retrieve his arrows. When he came back, he picked the bow up to shoot again. He didn't notice his hand was slightly wet from the wet grass.
He gets it draw 3/4 of the way and it slips out of his bow hand. The cable rod comes back and nails him between the nuckles and buries itself 1.5" into his hand.:Cry:
He said he has a steel rod and screws in their from a previous injury and the Doctor said that is what stopped it from going deeper. Ouch!

i had the same thing happen to me about 3 years ago. i got a cut across the top of my hand. had to have 5 stitches put in.

Man I took up this sport over tackle football in the park with no padding!!! I thought this was supposed to be a safe sport. Guess I'll have to get a safety harness for my bow before Ralph Nader gets involved and forces the issue!!
