Either I'm making a big messy mistake or some home-grown camo.
Beginning with some Martin Jaguar T/D Recurve limbs (40#) give then a light snading w/ 220
A couple of sheets of Avery easy-peel labels and some scissors.
stick down the first course of stickers (areas I want to remain black)
A few light coats of Valspar "Plastic" paint (green)
soon as this coat is good and dry ( tomorrow? ) I'll add some more stickers and spray the next color

What's Good About That Is, If You Didn't Like The Result Try & Try Again. Try Using Some Plastic Plant Leaves From The Wife's Planter. She Want Mind, Maybe? Just Hit It With A Spray Can A Couple Quick Times. I've Done This With My Climber...... Looking Good So Far.

I go my own on stands and feeders. I get some grass and branches from trees. Hold them close and shoot a quick spray. I'll try to get a few pics up so you can see how is comes out.

I have heard that you can make cheap front lips with stuff from home depot or lowes. What do i need to do it and is it worth it?

There are a countless number of ways to do camo. The planter leaves idea Keifer suggested is a quick and easy way to do it.
I've used full pages of newspaper with leaf and grass patterns cut out to do my boat with a few cans of spray paint and it lasted 2 season and even after the boat got sunk earlier this year while duck hunting. I believe there is at least 4 layers paint on this boat now. Gonna be time to sandblast it all off and start over again soon.
When I do the IMO digital camo pattern on anything, I start with a base coat of paint, lay down some blue tape to start the first pattern, spray the second color and lay down more pattern using the blue tape and finally lay down the last color. After everything is dry, I will pull up the tape and the different colors from each layer come through pretty nicely.

I saw some pictures of guys spraying camo on guns. They sprayed the entire gun one light color and then used natural folage and grass as a templet to make the patterns on the gun. It looked great and like already mentioned if you don't like it you just start over.

You all wanted to see some finished pics? Here are a couple of firearms I did myself.
The shotgun is a Remington 870 that I used pine needles as a template and 7 different colors of paint.

The rifle is a savage 30-06 that I used a mesh bag as a template to create the snakeskin pattern and 4 different colors. I also put the non-slip strips on the fore-end and stock.

Clean surface, mask, and apply light color ( tan ) base coat, now go cut branch ends of your local foilage, several of each, you want the flatest laying end you can find. I used braken, a large fern like plant, douglas fir, redwood, and sword fern. I used Krylon's camo colors. After the base coat was dry, about the time I had the pieces cut and ready, I held a part on the surface, and gave a spray, enough to cover the piece, held another branch to surface and repete until surface is covered. Looks good. :D
