My six year old and I are spending some bonding time in the back yard shooting up some targets. He now want's a new fancy compound bow like Dads. he's 6 years old. We went to the local Archery shop (Bass Super Stores) and they showed me a Genisis Mini at $189 for a kit. This is a little steep for me is there anything else out there that is worth looking at? Should I consider buying a used bow for him? What should I get him. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the classifieds if cost is a factor.......is there not a real archery shop in your area???? I do not consider Gander Mountain, Dicks, Cabeles, and bass pro as real archery shops......these places pay minimum wage and have employee turn over like nobodys bussiness.....and they are deffiantly not cheaper, even though there adds on the radio say they buy in quantity so there prices are the best in town.....bull dooky
