Nothing better than to fill the freezer with a doe.

Good deer management to take a few does and help the ratio.

I let a bunch pass last year. I will probably take 2 for the freezer.

I can't wait too. I've passed on 2 does that presented me shots this year. I have a self imposed 80lbs or better minimum. The two I passed were young and no more than 65lbs.

I'm whacking and stacking as many as the good lord puts in front of me. I hunt public land so I can't be picky about how big the horns are. Small Horns walk.................Does get a dirt nap ticket

The first 2.5 weeks of the season any doe w/ in range is fair game.

Assuming it doesn't have spots that is.:biggrin1:

I was not going to shoot a doe this year but I am going nuts knowing that I could be in the woods. Season opened on Saturday so I have only missed two days. I am sure I will give into temptation soon.

I'll be happy to take a doe or two. They eat good and slide nice.

i take a couple does before the rut, so the rut is better for my lease, and after that i only shoot a couple after the rut, just for the freezer, i usually only horn hunt.

Yep! most defintly! A good freezer and sausage filler. We need to take a bunch here in the Great Lake State. Does anyone have any knowledge on the program that some states use called earn a buck. I wonder how that is working out?

Very likely; 2 bucks and no does was an odd year for me last year.

I spotted this doe right under my stand.

Few others as well.

Might be a smack down.

If you can get a bow drawn on this scamp and shoot then it must be a 3D target.:D
