Well opening weekend came and now it's gone. The first morning had a big four come right under my stand. Then saw another small buck with a group of does. That was my extent of seeing deer for the weekend. Sunday morning I had an awesome encounter. I had a big bull moose walk by my stand at about 50 yards grunting (not sure what you call there mating call) I grunted back at him and he came right in at 15 yards. Then he started thrashing the brush with his horns. He really wanted to fight. I left my cell phone in the truck. I was really kicking my self in the butt for that. If I only had a moos tag.

That had to be awesome to witness. Bet he looked hugh that close :biggrin1:

Yeah he looked pretty darn big. If I had to guess he was about 40-45" tip to tip. I very good trophy for a Vermont Bull.
