I will be headed to northwest iowa on monday staying through the week hunting a river bottom next to croplands. Any advice? What should I expect to see? I hunt in texas and on public lands and private. On public you can sit there for 4-5 hours and maybe see one or two on private you can see as many as thirty. Does calling and rattling work well up there this time of yr. should be prerut going on I would think. thanks in advance.
