Buddy sent me this and a friend of his did this last night when he shot his bow off the rest.
Be Carefull. His hand will never be the same.
This is why I dont buy cheap arrows. Is it really worth it?

So what exactly happened there? Did you mean the arrow came off the rest when he shot? Still don't see how it would hit your hand. Looks line the arrow might have broke about half way down it sending it into his hand. No matter, looks awefully painfull. Cheap arrows or not all arrows should be inspected often. I shoot GT's and while on my antelope hunt we were messing around in camp at long distances and after shooting under the target a couple times I was walking back and thought I'd give my arrow the "flex" test and that arrow nearly fell apart in my hand. I have no doubt that if I would have shot it one more time that would be my hand or arm in that pic. I looked it over before flexing it and it looked perfect. There's just so much that the eye can't see on a carbon arrow. Good reminder Dan. Thanks,

The arrow was off the rest when fired. Im assuming the carbon arrow hit metal and splinter or went off rest and through his hand. Youth here in town shot bad splintered arrows and this happened to him. I check my arrows often. I dont shoot any arrow with any damage.

What happened to the broadhead??
Might have been practicing without them. Arrow might have broke off and the back half of the arrow went through the hand. Broadhead tip could have been in front of the hand.

I dont know if its an issue of cheap arrows more than it is a question of judgement. Id bet the arrow was too short and fell off the back of the rest onto his hand, dood panicked and let er rip..:faint:
Happened to a newbie at my club last month...kid freaked:scared:
