Looking for a bow. I am new to all of this but have friends that bow hunt. A couple have bowtechs, High Country, Jennings, etc. Don't know much about Darton except from what I saw on there site. Looks like a nice bow. Is the 450 firm????

The best thing about Darton is the CPS cams. They are more arrow spine tolerant and throw a fixed blade broad head very well. I have been able to get a Broad Head,Field point and a bare shaft to hit the same spot at 30 yards. the price for all the listed equipment is going to stay for a few weeks if it doesn't sell then it will come down some. Then I might sell just the bare bow as well.

Looking at the specs some say that it may be a little long ATA. What are the advantages and disadvantages to a bow this size exactly  I'm still looking.

The Darton Tempest will have less nock pinch at full draw than other bows with a shorter ATA. Less nock pinch add to accuracy. It can be a small difference but when it comes to 3D a small differences in one shot can make the entire difference between some good money. I won more money in 3D this year with this bow than I spent in registration fees. Its a great bow but I have another one.
