I'm a part of a high school club called Skills USA. we are planning a archery tournament to help raise money to allow us to compete in competitions around the state. some of the fields that we compete in are: welding, drafting, automotive, small engine, wood working, team problem solving activities.

As i said before we are a high school club and as you may no that high schoolers don't have a lot of money to spare. these competitions can cost up to $150 to enter. With out fund raisers the students would have a hard time comeing up with that kind of money. I don't think that a young person should be denied the chance to show off their skills because they cant come up with the money.

I think that an archery tournament will be a great idea. We are planning on it being a 3d course, we are hoping to get at about 30 targets set up. we are thinking that the cost is going to be $15-$20.

at this moment we are getting in contact with local businesses so that they can set up booths. we are planning on having raffles and other events.

it is going to held sometime in early April. by no means is this a big tournament but it would be a good warm up before summer starts.
