Hi, just got some Easton Eclipse 2712's for indoor dot tournaments and was wanting to know should i use vanes, feathers, what size? Im shooting a Mathews Conquest 3 30in draw @ 60 lbs. had the arrows cut to 28 5/8 in. The arrows originally had 4in feathers but they drag across cable when drawing the bow.
Thanks :noidea:

When I started reading my mind jumped to 4" feathers, then I read it all.
If rubbing the cable bothers you, then a 4" vane. I like flexfletch. They have a low profile vane I believe.

With those arrows being cut so short I think a better question for you to ask would be what grain tip to use.

If they are cut down to 28 or 29 inch they are going to be way stiff.

Go big.....:biggrin1:

I used 3" flexfletch with good luck...........but then again I use the same fletching for everything.

I shoot mine cut to 29" with 300g tips and 4" feathers. for 20yards your gonna want feathers to help stabilize the arrow faster. If there hitting the cable turn them slightly to clear it and forget it.

Is go 4" or 5" feathers. Help stabilize those arrows at 20 yrds quickly.
Atleast 180 grn in the front end. MOst arrows can be tuned at 20yrds.
Xquest here has won his share of professional tournaments with 125 grn in the front end of his 2613 for many years. Not really sure why you dragging on the cable side when drawing. You should have more than enough clearance with a C3.
