View Full Version : What to wear ?
papito 10-22-2006, 08:59 AM I hunt in an area where it is fairly cold in the early part of the day. If anyone has any suggestions on what would be some good cold weather clothing. I'm open to any suggestions. I'm getting tired of freezing all morning. Thanks.
BUNNYMAN 10-22-2006, 09:02 AM get some Mossy oak apx or under armor, The apx is cheaper and made more for the hunter imo

BowhuntnHoosier 10-22-2006, 10:07 AM Welcome to the forum there papito.:welcome: I wear an insulated shirt,T-shirt,sweatshirt,and carry a jacket for when I get cold in the stand. Great choice of bows Mathews are fabulous. Terrible choice of rests though:laugh: What is it about the Biscuit do you not like???? Whisker Biscuits are great, hands down the best hunting rest on the market. JMO I hope you enjoy it here with us. Do not take any of our negative remarks as bashing though we all have a great sense of humor and realize we all have our own opinions. Later:peace:

brokenarrow 10-22-2006, 06:20 PM Yes, WELCOME Papito!
I usually just dress in layers, like any cold morning. No special gear(except for scent control). The only thing I do have is a Walls zip-up hooded sweatshirt. It's not heavy, but it's warm and darn near waterproof. Wish I could find another one. Don't think they make'em any more and this one's kinda worn.

longcut36 10-26-2006, 08:41 AM whats wrong with a wb. they are a multi purpose tool. when hunting gets slow you can use it to clean under you finger nails, hold a slim jim or a cigarette holder to see which way the wind is blowing. p.s. i've also heard some use them for a arrow rest:biggrin1:
