Total Championship purse payout was: $12,040....not too bad for the state of economy that hit our local contributors HARD....as well as some of our manufacturer contributors having to cut back!! Remember folks, this is only a 190 total shooter event!!!

Also, the OVERALL Men's and Ladie's Pro Champions also took home a custom Aurora Bowcase in addition to their first place check (basically at another $200 to their winnings).

Once again, thanks to all the tournament participants that competed. We ALL need to also thank the sponsors, both local and manufacturers that contributed to the money purse. In addition, personally, besides thanking the kindess and patience of the competitors, I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the VOLUNTEERS that did the registration check in, line judging, gathering the awards, scorecards, and handling the logistics of all the other things happening on the floor.
We also, for 190 shooters that signed up (some no shows, but very few), have to realize the "added value" of having 106 door prizes of varying values contributed. Anything from Custom Bowstrings, to LaCrosse boots, to Vanguard binoculars, parkas, pullovers, and on and on....

Pretty impressive to see Lynn Hoch shoot a score like that without magnification and long stabliizers.

He would have tied for 2nd with the big dogs using all the bells and whistles.

Congrats to you Lynn, great shooting!

I shot BHFS for those reasons and also the simplicity of the setup. The reason I moved to open was because there is really no place to move up to from pins. That and the lack of respect for pin shooters from the majority of the archery community.

My best scores in 3-D, spots and even field were all with pins:doh: . I will always respect pin shooters and quietly wish I was still hanging out with them!

But hey, I can see what I am missing better with the scope:frusty: !
