I've had this one show up a couple of times, twice during the day, but have never had the pleasure of seeing it (yet). Looks pretty thin right now, from the rigors of the rut I'm thinking. There are some pictures taken on the same night of young bucks that are pretty fat. At least I am hoping that it is from chasing does and not from something else. Here's the pictures. Let me know what you think.

Wow. He is definaltly mature with a head like that. One thing for certain he will be dead this season from either and injury or illness. I have never seen a deer look so poor.

I would say that deer has other issues going on besides the rut. there's no way he should be that run down.

Nope! Hes trying to cut weight and tone up to look good for the girls.
That dude is definatly sick. I would kill him chunck the meat. Put him out of his misery.
I also think he will score around 130 or so.

I'd say 3.5 and score around 130 also. He is pretty poor. Hopefully he'll make it.

On the score I'm guessing around mid 120's. On the weight he deff don't look good. Don't know if it's from chasing or disease. If you live near Louisiana in southern arkansas I'd give him the benefit of the doubt as far as the weather getting to him. If to far north way north arkansas I'm not sure how much colder it gets there snow and all, but much colder and some constant snow and such would deff depreciate his chances of survival.
I would take him if I could for sure for a number of reasons. One is yeah he is deff a trophy class for me. But 2 worry of him going off and possibly dying a slow and miserable death. 3 what if he does have a disease and what if it's contages( don't know if I spelled that right). It's hard to tell his age due to the poor shape and non color pics.
I think harvesting this deer would deff be doing him a favor.

He's around 120 and 2.5 or 3.5 would be my guess. It looks to me like the hair has come off on his side. I dont think he's skinny its just the hair is gone showing his ribs. Maybe it's middle age hair loss :noidea:
