I am shooting a Hoyt Maxxis 35 at 62# 27.5" draw.

I had decided on Easton Lightspeeds 400 spine and ordered a dozen. I heard yesterday that there was no stock available and have since been looking for another arrow. What can you guys recommend and why? I would prefer Easton or Carbon Express because those are the 2 brands that I should "easily" be able to get my hands on in a "short" time. I'd like the arrow to weigh around 350 grains.

Thanks in advance,

ZA

cxl 250's are awesome 3-d arrows. The cx maxima's are great too.

There are a lot of guys shooting Easton Fatboys, you might give them a try if the others are not available.

You ever think about Victorys? The V-Force are good arrows and although I don't know which part of SA you're in, I'm pretty sure there's a dealer in KZN.

I forgot about the Victory's, I will look into them, thanks. How popular are Fatboys for 3D, I would have thought a fat arrow wouldn't be the best choice for outdoor archery?

Thanks again,

ZA

What spine would you recommend for my setup, 400 or 500?

I switched from GT 22s to the Victory VX-22s this yr....I'm glad I did bc I really like their straightness over the GTs. and they're holding up alot better than the GTs did too.

I shoot Fatboy 500s at 28dl. they are 27in long with 80grn points and weigh 310grn. At 60 lbs out of my contender elite (3000s) the shoot 282fps. Bow seems to like them and they group very well. Most of us that shoot 3d (ASA) like to shoot fatter shafts to catch a few lines here and there. ACC"S are a good option as well. Lots of guys are shootin the goldtip XXX this year too. A ton of options available.

ZA, I'd think a 400 with 100 gr. tips would be about right.
