Yep it’s strange... A lot of people don’t like the zephyr and I must admit initially I was one of them. But now it is my favourite cam:noidea: .
I love the fact that you cannot creep on this cam just hit the wall and hold it there until the release.

I like it so much I recently changed out the regular cam and a 1/2 (which I have always loved) for spirals on the UT in search of a similar feel to the zephyr... go figure:madgrin: .

I think that with the modern cams and limbs, we are generally pulling less weight for the same numbers thereby allowing a harsher draw cycle. The draw cycle certainly takes some getting used to but I do believe that the cam gets a little extra bad press due to the fact that a lot of people are trying to pull too much weight on it.

We have some excellent hunting down here in OZ.
Deer Species - Reds (my favourite), Russa, Sambar, Fallow, chital and a host of others...
Large and dangerous game - Buffalo, Banteng and scrub bulls
Feral animals (the most widely hunted) - Goats, and pigs
Also the humble native dingo provides an exceptional challenge in areas where mans influence has taught the animal to be among the most cunning on the planet.

This is an excellent DVD and I can highly recommend it. It shows all the top end game but none of the deer species, these are mostly located down the east coast with the exception of the chital which can be hunted in the top end.

New Zealand is even better than OZ for some species (namely red deer, tahr and sheep).

Definitely worth a trip.
