gottaeat 03-09-2010, 09:05 PM Guys, I hope I'm not hijacking your thread, not trying to, but want to pass on some info about RV/camper spaces in the Paris ASA area. From what I heard today, campsites at the Love Civic Center are all taken, so if you're needeng a campsite, Sanders Cove public use area at Pat Mayse Lake has about 80 class A campsites that should have vacancies during the week of the pro/am. Each site has water, electrical (30amp) hookups and there's a waterborne/hot water shower available in the park. Each site is $15.00 per night and fees are collected by an honor system vault in each loop. Park Rangers advised me today that there should be campsites available during the ASA shoot. Give the lake office a call at 903/732-3020 and leave them your phone number if no one answers, they should return your call.
Pat Mayse Lake is about half way between Paris, TX and Hugo, OK (18 miles north of the civic center) just south of the Red River, right off hwy 271. Turn west at the Pat Mayse Lake sign, can't miss it.
Hope you don't mind the intrusion but maybe this'll help someone find a suitable campsite. Thanks and see y'all at the shoot.
Hawkins305 03-09-2010, 09:29 PM I am trying to go. I'm hoping to find a person from around Indiana to share the expenses of the thirteen hour ride. I made it to Georgia and it was my first ASA and it was funnest shoot I've ever done, great people all around that shoot. Bob Sampson went with me on that trip and he was a very nice guy. So I hope to see some of you folks down there. Everyone at Georgia tells me its a must stop and shoot advent. Good luck.
