We will see.:noidea: Frank 11-17-2006, 06:34 AM Only gained 4 fps. IBO rating over the XT. Looks like they shaved some wieght. I think I will make a trip to dealer today. Try to shoot. If that $849. price tag sticks:doh: . I will remain happy with my XT:wave: . I'm sticking with my XT anyways very happy with it and will be happier when I switch grip.:peace: BUNNYMAN 11-17-2006, 06:34 AM yep the slow creeping of prices.......we have been discussing...... dzingale 11-17-2006, 06:36 AM I think that all bows have gone up this year. BowhuntnHoosier 11-17-2006, 06:38 AM 33" ATA same as SB 7" BH same as SB 3.85# about 1/2 # lighter than SB IBO Speed 320 2fps faster than SB 2 dampners in the roller guard same as SB dampners in the String Suppressors same as SB XT :noidea: Not much of a change but I'll still shoot one and see. I'm sticking with my XT anyways very happy with it and will be happier when I switch grip.:peace: doesnt really compare to the XT as closely as it does the Original.......its a replacement .......... BUNNYMAN 11-17-2006, 06:41 AM the shop where I do part time work said he should have one today......means we should be able to shoot it is a couple weeks.....he is slow w/this stuff..... BUNNYMAN 11-17-2006, 06:50 AM something I overlooked was the new limbs.......Slim line.....hmmmm..... slamdam 11-17-2006, 07:10 AM I just got my XT a week ago. NO WAY IN HELL am I in any hurry to get rid of it. YANK YANK 4 FPS I could care less and 80 more than I paid for my switchback. BUNNYMAN 11-17-2006, 08:15 AM it will be 1000 before 2010......... tek 11-17-2006, 08:20 AM it will be 1000 before 2010......... I bet your right there. I used to buy 2 new bows a year...with the prices the way they are now I buy only 1 new bow a year. If the prices keep going up I will start buying a new bow every 2 years instead. $849 is to much for a hunting bow IMO. BUNNYMAN 11-17-2006, 08:23 AM I bet your right there. BowhuntnHoosier 11-17-2006, 08:54 AM 849 is too much for any bow......buy used and save a bundle...... But I have to keep up with the Jones's.:tape: What am I saying I usually only buy new bows about every 8-10 years so by the time I buy a new one they will be what about $1200 bare bow.:frusty: :pout: :pout: papito 11-17-2006, 08:55 AM Looks like it will be a nice bow, GO MATTHEWS:peace: BowhuntnHoosier 11-17-2006, 09:37 AM It does look SWEET though does'nt it. BUNNYMAN 11-17-2006, 09:52 AM just remember its the shooter not the bow...........:peace: big scores 11-17-2006, 10:44 AM As Adam Sandler would say "whoopidi do":frusty: BowhuntnHoosier 11-17-2006, 10:46 AM As Adam Sandler would say "whoopidi do":frusty: Have you been drinking too much again?????:noidea: big scores 11-17-2006, 10:50 AM Have you been drinking too much again?????:noidea:  no, I just don't find a new hunting bow that has been made 4 times to be exciting.:bored: BowhuntnHoosier 11-17-2006, 10:55 AM They keep changing little things improving this and that like slimmer, stronger limbs(not that they are needed), no limb pockets, XT string suppressors,SB cable guard,ATA,BH. It will be smoother, quieter, faster, more efficient. But hey I'm sure you know more about Mathews bows than I do. I just own one right. Its just tough to keep improving something that is so great. Dredly 11-17-2006, 10:59 AM So not to be a Mathews hater but... The only change is that it has slim limbs? Unless I'm mistaken thats it. 2 FPS on IBO speed is laughable at best. They use 2 less strands in their string and they will get an extra 2 FPS. The "super durable" limbs are crap. Every new bow that comes out has "limb issues fixed". Personally I'd be mroe concerned with them being thinner that there is nothing there to stop them from exploding instead of cracking. so basically to me it looks like this shouldn't have a new name but should be "The Switchback Ultra-Slim" or something like that. But, But, But, But, there are no limb pockets.....this is the greatest thing since well Browning did it......:dizzy: Dredly 11-17-2006, 12:10 PM But, But, But, But, there are no limb pockets.....this is the greatest thing since well Browning did it......:dizzy: What benefit does no limb-pocket provide? (i know you were just being a SA but seriously...) do they make it easier to tune? Do they reduce the weight a signfigant amount? Does it make the weight able to be adjusted to below the suggested limits or above? Aside from opening up another spot to get tree limbs stuck in I can't see any benefit to it?
