View Full Version : Old Members???
brokenarrow 11-26-2006, 04:06 PM Did you ever look through the member list??
There are alot of people that never even posted once....
Also there are a bunch that asked questions and just never got answered, so I imagine they got fed up and never came back...
We have to try to at least acknowledge their posts, IMO:noidea:
There has to be a way to mass email those members and try to kick'em in the pants....

I remember a few of them when I first came on here.....there was not the daily influx that we have now.....I think we are doing better everyday.....
I dont think according to the rules of the sight that we can mass e-mail or contact people.....

No not us personally.. But maybe chris can "send a memo":biggrin1:
I guess my real issue was that we have to make an attempt to answer new member's questions so that they don't get discouraged and not come back.

Dredly 11-26-2006, 06:10 PM Just a note guys - a LOT of people don't really have any desire to be on a forum. and even more signed up for newsletters, alternate addys, ... plus a lot of people will either just lurk or read only when they have a question. Its sort of a common occurance on internet forums. a lot of the guests are probably registered users that just don't login

MoBowman 11-26-2006, 10:49 PM As some may or may not know, I am a moderator on a fairly large hunting site in the midwest. One thing that we ask our moderators is that no post goes without at least 5 replies. Sometimes all it takes is just a smiley :biggrin1: but to at least acknowledge the fact that someone has made a post, we may not be the one to get their question answered but we can at least help to keep the thread up on the top page to give a new member the opportunity to get the ansure they are looking for.
Now, I know that were not moderators here, but if we are really interested in helping this site and the membership to grow, it is somethig that we all can help Chris with

I would only sign in if there was something I wanted to know or if I got the courage up to answer. .................................................. ...Man I am 25 yrs. old and reading through this I sound like a little kid:doh:
