I make custom sideplates for Hoyt and PSE bows.
I have been a professional bird carver and gunstock maker for over 40 years and started carving sideplates for my bows as a hobby. Well, soon I ran out of bows to make sideplates for, so I began making them and selling to other archers. Everyone seemed to like them (see my feedback comments on AT under "jabwa") so I guess my hobby has become a "very small business"!:D
I have included a few pictures of plates I have on my personal bows. If you are interested, please PM me. Let me know the color of your bow and what color sideplates you are thinking of and I will send you a few pictures. I only make them out of natural native and exotic hardwoods, no dyed and laminated wood.
